Best places to drink in Barcelona

So you consider Barcelona the perfect place for a stylish drink with a view?

We have you covered with some great insider tips by local Jahn Schlosser, author of the awesome book #BCN - by locals and a handy map with their location. You now only need to take a camera or a rose, maybe both, since these bars are the absolute perfect places to start the night or celebrate something special.

5. Sunset magic @ Bar Mirablau

In the middle of Tibidabo, a stunning view can be yours. On Plaça de Doctor Andreu the Mirablau is waiting for you. Taking in the views with a vermouth or a long drink, is considered a great warmup for a dinner in the La Venta restaurant on the other side of the street, or a classic selfie in front of the setting sun.

4. La Isabella Terrace @ Hotel 1898

The perfect terrace overlooking Barcelona right in the middle of the city. Some well prepared drinks and the right kind of service make this place so enjoyable. I would even recommend staying in this Hotel. It combines a classic feel downtown with the perfect location downtown from which you can explore the whole town.

3. A historic museum with a twist @ Museu de Historia - Restaurant 1881

If you arrive late at night they will not serve you drinks on the terrace anymore, but a sundowner is usually possible. I always enjoy the views up here across the harbor and further out towards the city, you can even spot the two hills that limit the city, Tibidabo and Montjuic. Scenic and not expensive. To get in, walk into the museum and take the elevator straight up to the rooftop. No need to pay museum fees when you declare you want to visit the restaurant.

2. Exclusivity and elegance @ Gran Hotel La Florida

Even further up the Tibidabo we find one of the most exclusive Hotels in the category “with a view”. There is no bar or restaurant further up that mountain, so this is as far as you can get. The team here is amazing and makes you feel like a honored guest. If friends ask me about place for a special occasion, this is the one that comes to mind.

Not just Jazz downstairs @ Casa Fuster

An exclusive place. Not only the prices, but also the views. The rooftop terrace with its fantastic location is made to feel atop of everything in summertime. You can check out the Passeig de Gracia from here and relax to smooth Jazz vibes from the speakers. Okay, the jazz bar on the bottom level has the live music on Thursdays, but the view from up here is just stunning.
