Das Stue
Berlin, Germany
Perfect for city breaks • Central location • Perfect for proposals
Das Stue is a luxury boutique hotel in Berlin, located in elegant premises inside the former Royal Danish Embassy in a calm corner of the Tiergarten.
This delightful city hideaway has 80 rooms and suites that retain a strong sense of individuality, thanks to the designer’s embrace of the quirks and corners of the architecture.

Whether you stay in the historic building or the modern extension, you will find welcoming, peaceful rooms that feature classic furniture against a background of crisp décor, luxurious fabrics and dark oak floors.

High ceilings add a feeling of grandeur to the rooms, while views of the Tiergarten parkland or the ostriches and lions of neighbouring Berlin Zoo are certain to enchant you.

Wining and dining at Das Stue is equally delightful: the restaurant 5 – cinco by Paco Pérez has a special place in Berlin’s vibrant restaurant scene, thanks to its status as the first project by four-times Michelin starred Catalonian Chef Paco Pérez outside of Spain.

Diners are transported to new culinary realms, thanks to the Chef’s mission of tickling all five senses in unusual and surprising ways with an avant-garde 25 course tasting menu.

More informal meals are also on offer in the relaxed atmosphere of The Casual all day dining area.

If you’re more in the mood for a well-mixed drink, the Stue Bar is the place to head: this cool classic cocktail bar boasts a view of the Zoo to keep you intrigued, as well as a sophisticated selection of recipes inspired by the 1920s and the repertoire of Chef Pérez.

The superb facilities at this wonderful city hideaway in Berlin are rounded off by the Susanne Kaufmann Spa, a harmonious space for beauty and wellness.

The treatments are holistic and wholesome, while a 14-meter long indoor pool, fitness area and a Finnish sauna ensure you can thoroughly wind down at the end of a day’s sightseeing.

Please note that Michelin-starred restaurant "Cinco" will be taking a summer break from 24th of July until 10th of August 2016.

Always enjoy staying at Das Stue, an excellent five star experience

Style over substance+

Head receptionist worked hard at accommodating our request for a better room but the challenges of a room by a lift, or one overlooking the courtyard where music can be heard from and then a room which was next to the hotel's infrastructure of what sounded like a water heater or the like proved a little challenging. Last room in the original Embassy was perfect and better designed than the purpose built building. Spa therapists were very good indeed. Bar manager was a star with schnapps advice. A La Carte breakfast eggs were questionable on food health and safety standards and the Michelin star restaurant may struggle to get their star again...........

Excellent but with small setback+

Everything was as expected with an excellent standard, atmosphere and service. The only setback was that most of the ground floor was unavailable due to a private party on our last evening. Nothing we had expected or had prior information about.

Love Das Stue. Service and food is excellent. This is my second visit. However, the 4 nights I was there the dining area was closed for 2 nights and bar for one night for private events. The guests could not use the bar on a Saturday. Receiving 24hr notice is not right. The hotel should be for the guest and is too small to have these type of events (it really affects the stay). It made you feel the guest was not the priority. I would have appreciated to be notified when making the reservation. You should also be offering drinks complimentary to your guest for the inconvenience. My overall rating would have been 10 not 8.
