Formerly a Roman hamlet, the history of Vitigliano Relais & Spa dates back to 1085 and was inhabited by the renowned Verrazzano family for a period of 400 years. After the current owners acquired it, Vitigliano Relais & Spa has continued to undergo state-of-the-art renovations lasting seven years to offer a luxury living for its guests without losing its historic identity.

Today, Vitigliano Relais & Spa is one of the most exclusive country estates in Tuscany featuring a private wellness center, Bath house with Hammam and a chapel. It offers a perfect ambience for privacy, exclusivity, healthy living and ecological sustainability. The country house features eight well-appointed suites that can accommodate 16 guests at once. The suites offer picture-perfect views from every window and are furnished with five-star box spring beds, antique Persian rugs from the owner-family’s own valuable collection and unique designer fabrics from Tricia Guild and Kenzo. The suites have super-chic contemporary interiors featuring exposed natural stone walls and Serena stone edging, adobe-clad walls and glossy, silky-smooth stucco lustro, ancient cotto floors or parquet flooring from old wine barrels, flat-screen LED televisions, air conditioning, and Broadband Internet access(LAN).

Seven out of eight of the suites comprise of two rooms, which are integrated with luxurious bathrooms finished in hand-selected marble and appointed with XL showers with chromotherapy rain shower heads, freestanding washbasins set on custom-made marble tables, handmade marble shower bases and partially freestanding designer cast stone bathtubs. The bathrooms are the perfect place to relax and unwind with breathtaking views from the windows. Each suite can accommodate two adults.

3. Suite – Tower Villa, 2nd and 3rd floor accommodates 2 adults

55 sqm 2-room maisonette suite; bedroom accessible via an internal staircase (highest room of all buildings with spectacular views of the Castle of Panzano) and open fireplace, dining room with integrated show kitchen, bathroom in marble with XL shower with chromo therapy rain showerhead.

This Suite can be internally connected with the 2. Suite thus enabling guests to rent the entire Tower level. In the tower suites, which date back to the 14th century, you can walk in the footsteps of the renowned Verrazzano family and savour breath-taking 360° views in all directions – vineyards, cypress trees, olive groves and the Castle of Panzano.

Pool & Facilities

The villa has two professional fully equipped kitchens with a warm space and a private area where guests can watch the chef prepare the meals. There’s an originally restored wine cellar in the vaults under the tower building with a wide range of fine wines from the region, as well as exquisite wines from around the world.

A private wellness center features a spa, a bathhouse, an outdoor well-being area, a yoga plateau, and an indoor gym. Formerly a barn, the luxury spa embraces you with two beds, a whirlpool, an open fireplace and a relaxation area. The Bath House is a spacious marble hammam with floor-to-ceiling windows and a view of the vineyards. The outdoor wellbeing area has a 12-meter pool surrounded by day beds and sun terraces.

Outside you can relax in day beds by the pool or on a patio or enjoy the terrace with sunrise views on the terrace and oversized bar counter. Guests can experience a breath-taking 360° views in all directions – vineyards, cypress trees, olive groves and the Castle of Panzano. They can indulge in a wide range of activities such as sightseeing, shopping, hiking, horse riding, hiking, golf, and cycling.
