The snow guaranteed area of Val d’Isère spreads over 300 kilometres and two glaciers! The variety of the area is unique and even beginners will not have to stay close to the valley. They can also practice in great heights on secure slopes! This area is also perfect for advanced and pros – even for ski tours, climbing, cross-country skiing or free riding this is the perfect place! Village (for beginners and families)

Served by a free lift, the main nursery slope of the resort is the perfect place to try the skis for the first time as it is conveniently located at the bottom of the slopes and by the main streets, allowing everyone to take a break whenever they feel like it.

Top tip: Once you have gained some confidence, take the Bellevarde Express. There are several green runs near the lift and long enough to practice your skills away from experienced skiers.

Glacier du Pissaillas (for families and advanced)

At this glacier you will find several challenging slopes for advanced skiers. A little bit below the Vallon gondola you can find some easier slopes, which are perfect for families!

Top tip: You can also ski here in the summertime – great for summer ski holidays!

Germain Mattis (for more advanced skiers)

The slope of Germain Mattis is a particular pleasure for advanced skiers. The views are incredibly beautiful and the varied slopes make the heart of passionate skiers beat faster!

Top tip: Do not forget your camera – perfect postcard panoramic views!

Rocher de Bellevarde (for advanced)

At the Rocher de Bellaverde you will find several red marked slopes, which are perfectly suited for advanced skiers and snowboarders. You will definitely have fun here and probably visit the slopes more than once!

Top tip: Go there when the weather is nice – the views are fantastic!

La Face (for pros and adrenaline junkies)

The rapid slope is for everyone who enjoys the adrenaline thrill. It goes down very fast and you overcome a dizzying 1000 meters in height!

Top tip: This slope is marked black and only suited for advanced skiers – if you are a beginner you should avoid it!

Val Park (for all freeriders)

The Val Park is a big snow park, where all the free riding fans can have lots of fun! Whether beginner or expert – everything is offered here and a visit to this park is always recommended!

Top tip: The area of the Val Park is mostly sunny, that is why the non-free rider should go there to relax in the sun and watch other skiers jumping through the air!

Off-Piste (for freeriders)

The ski area of Val d’Isère is loved by freeriders. Here they find an infinite area of ski and snowboard possibilities! But you need to be advanced to make sure you get down safely!

Top tip: The official slopes should only be left with the right equipment and level of experience! Otherwise off slope free riding can be life threatening!
