1. Rafa Nadal Academy, Manacor

The island of Mallorca is home sweet home to Rafael Nadal. The world-renowned tennis player was born and raised in Manacor, a town on the east side of the island where in 2016 he opened the high-performance Rafa Nadal Academy. Covering 24,000sqm the facilities include 18 hard courts, 7 clay courts, 1 indoor court, a 25m pool, a gym, a school and accommodation for 140 children.

In 2013, Nadal bought a 4 million euro seafront villa in Porto Cristo, a short drive away from his hometown, where he currently lives. The house has direct sea access and is near the popular Sa Cova des Correus and the family summer residence.

2. Sa Punta Restaurant, Son Servera

With a breathtaking view of the seaside and owned by his family, it is no wonder Sa Punta restaurant is one of Nadal’s favorite places to dine.

“The combination of the ocean view, the service, and the food—I always order the catch of the day, grilled—make it a perfect spot”.

Enjoy the stylish ambience the dinner entertainment sets while dining on tasteful food and wine. The service is excellent, with friendly waiters and top-quality chefs to make your evening one to remember. Live music is also played and sometimes, the grandfather of Rafael Nadal even plays the piano!

3. Club Tenis Manacor, Manacor

If you want to see and play on the clay courts where the legend of The King of Clay started, it is not Roland Garros that you should be packing to but Manacor.

This humble tennis club is where Nadal began to play tennis and although he could choose to train now in some of the most exclusive courts around the world, he still preferes to train in his hometown club. In fact, if you visit in the morning, you may catch him training on the clay court, preparing for the world‘s best clay court tennis tournaments!

If you want to play tennis in Manacor and enjoy all of Nadal‘s favourite places, the 5 star boutique hotel Son Brull is the perfect accommodation for you.

4. Pula Golf, Son Servera

Out of the tennis courts, one of his other passions is golf. And he is not that bad considering he has a 3.9 handicap. He has stated in several interviews that it helps him to relax and can be seen taken part in tournaments on the island alongside his uncles and friends.

However, Pula Golf is perhaps the golf resort closest to his heart as back in November 2013 he teamed up with profesional golfer José María Olazábal to create the Olazabal & Nadal Invitational, a charity golf tournament that takes place at the impressive courses of the exclusive golf resort.
